Delivery and Collection

For van deliveries, it is possible to park briefly on the cobbles outside Bootham House. Please give us advance warning of your arrival. For the nearest car-park see Directions.

For large groups of fragile material, we can arrange collection. One of our staff is trained in the safe transport of archaeological objects. Where appropriate, we can also arrange for an archaeological conservator to travel with the van and pack up the finds for you. An estimate of costs will be provided beforehand.

Small robust items can be sent by post. We find Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (‘Signed-For’) is reliable and their usual delivery time fits with our office hours. Please ensure that the name of the business, The Anglo-Saxon Laboratory, is clearly marked as the first line on the address label:
